UPAC’s 50th Anniversary Gala was held in the Nautilus Room at the Coronado Community Center, on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
This event is highlighted UPAC’s impact in San Diego County over the span of 5 decades. Attendees began their evening by indulging in various hors d’oeuvres and libations overlooking Coronado Bay. After cocktail hour, photo opportunities, and chatting among friends, the event shifted inside to cultural entertainment, a live auction, and a silent auction featuring an art exhibit cataloged by UPAC youth and EMASS clubhouse members.
The Gala showcased an elevated family-style dinner curated by UPAC Executive Chef, Eduardo Gochicoa, and the youth employed at Neighborhood Café and Timmy’s Place. Each dish represented a unique culture that celebrates vibrant diversity.
Through this event, we bridged cross-cultural understanding, connected partners and friends with UPAC’s mission, and raiseed funds for our vital programs and services.
